Here is something we hear far too often: people call a flower shop, describe what they need in Spanish, and hang up not entirely sure the order came out right. That should not happen. Here at Tualatin Florist, we are glad to help in Spanish — by phone, in person, and in the details of every order — for families in Tualatin, Tigard, Sherwood, Wilsonville, Lake Oswego, and all of the southwest Portland metro area.
It is not just about speaking the language. It is about understanding the occasions, traditions, and cultural details that make an arrangement the right one, not just a pretty one.
🌸 Occasions We Celebrate All Year
Many of the most important dates for our community do not always appear on the standard American florist’s calendar — but for us, they are central to the business:
- Quinceañeras. Honor bouquets, head-table arrangements, flowers for the whole hall. We coordinate colors with the dress and the party theme well ahead of time.
- Mother’s Day (Día de las Madres). One of the most meaningful dates of the year for many Latino families — we understand that arrangements are sometimes sent to several generations on the same day.
- Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos). Cempasúchil (marigolds, the “flower of the dead”) for ofrendas, arrangements in orange and yellow, and commemorative pieces for the family altar.
- Baptisms and first communions. Delicate arrangements in white and pastels, suitable for the church and for the reception afterward.
- Weddings and anniversaries. From the bride’s bouquet to centerpieces for the whole reception.
- Mexican Independence Day (September 16) and other national holidays. Arrangements in green, white, and red for family and community celebrations.
📞 How to Order Without the Hassle
You can call us directly and describe what you need in Spanish — the color, the occasion, the budget, the delivery date — and we take care of the rest. If you prefer to order online, you can also simply write your special instructions in Spanish in the order notes section; our team reads them and follows them exactly as you write them, with no need to translate anything yourself.
One practical tip that applies in any language: the more specific the card message, the better. Phrases like “Con todo mi cariño, Mamá” (“With all my love, Mom”) or “Felicidades en tu día especial” (“Congratulations on your special day”) come out perfectly just as you write them — we do not translate or change them.
🚚 Where Do We Deliver?
We deliver the same day in Tualatin, Sherwood, Wilsonville, Lake Oswego, King City, and Tigard, plus nearby communities in southwest Portland. If your family is spread across several of these cities — very common — we can coordinate multiple same-day deliveries without a problem. We have also written before about our coverage in Sherwood, one of the areas we visit most often.
💬 When Words Are Not Enough
Sometimes the occasion is hard — an apology, condolences, a family reconciliation — and the right words do not come easily in any language. We have already written a complete guide to choosing apology flowers that applies just as well whether the card message will be in Spanish, in English, or in both languages at once — something we do often for bilingual families.
🌺 Our Commitment
We do not want Spanish at our shop to be a coincidence — we want it to be a real reason to choose us. If your family prefers to communicate in Spanish, we are happy to do so, from the first day you call to the card attached to the bouquet.
