Wilsonville sits at the southern edge of the Portland metro area, just south of Tualatin, in both Clackamas and Washington counties. The Willamette River runs along its edge, and Interstate 5 runs right through the middle of it. At the 2020 census it had about 26,700 residents, and it is a place where people live, work, and raise families, which means a lot of reasons to send flowers. We have written about where to eat and what to do there. This guide is for the practical question: how do I send flowers to someone in Wilsonville, and where will they end up?
🗺️ Know Your Wilsonville Neighborhoods
The city divides itself into 16 neighborhood groups, and a few neighborhood names come up constantly in addresses and directions:
- Old Town — the oldest part of the city, south of Wilsonville Road along Boones Ferry Road, near where the old ferry crossed the river. Boones Ferry Park sits on the Willamette at that landing.
- Town Center — the shopping hub around Wilsonville Road and Town Center Loop, where you will also find Town Center Park and the Oregon Korean War Memorial.
- Villebois — a planned community on the western edge of the city, built on the grounds of the former Dammasch State Hospital.
- Charbonneau — a planned community on the south side of the Willamette River, inside the city limits but across the water from the rest of Wilsonville.
- Frog Pond — one of the newer neighborhoods, where a new primary school on Boeckman Road was slated to open in fall 2025.
When you order, give the full address and the neighborhood or building name if you know it. Charbonneau in particular is on the far side of the river, so a quick check of the address saves a wrong turn.
🏠 Where Flowers Usually Go in Wilsonville
- Homes and apartments. About half of Wilsonville’s occupied homes are rented, according to the 2020 census, so many deliveries go to apartments. Always include the unit number, a gate code or building note if needed, and a phone number for the recipient.
- Offices. The city has technology, manufacturing, and distribution employers along the I-5 corridor, so office deliveries are common. For a workplace, send the company name, the suite, and the person’s department. An arrangement that fits on a desk is usually kinder than a giant one at reception.
- Schools, the library, and the community center. Wilsonville High School is the city’s only traditional high school, the Wilsonville Public Library sits next to Memorial Park, and the city’s Community Center hosts classes and programs. Check with the recipient’s organization before sending to a school.
- Churches and event venues. For services and celebrations, confirm the time and the best place to leave the flowers.
🏥 Get-Well Flowers: Where the Hospital Is
Here is something that surprises people. As far as we can tell, Wilsonville does not have a hospital of its own. The nearest full-service hospital for many Wilsonville families is Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center in Tualatin. Our guide to medical facilities near Tualatin covers it and the other hospitals and clinics in the area, and our get-well flowers page has arrangement ideas. Hospitals set their own rules about flowers and visiting, so check with the unit before you order.
🕊️ Sympathy and Remembrance
Wilsonville is home to one of the funeral homes we describe in our guide to sending sympathy flowers to funeral homes and memorial services, along with the other homes and cemeteries serving the south metro area. If you are not sure where to send, call the funeral home and ask who receives flowers and when. Our funeral flower etiquette guide covers arrangement types and timing, and our sympathy flowers page has the arrangements.
🎉 Local Happenings Worth Pairing With a Bouquet
- Fall Harvest Festival. According to the city’s calendar, Wilsonville Parks and Recreation holds a family-friendly Harvest Festival at the Stein-Boozier Barn in Murase Plaza on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with music, pumpkins, craft vendors, and carriage rides.
- Festival of Arts. Wilsonville has held an annual arts fair each spring, and artists and performers are a classic reason to send a congratulatory bouquet.
- The city calendar. The library, the community center, and Parks and Recreation all post events. A birthday, a retirement, or a recital often has its own flowers.
Dates change from year to year, so check the City of Wilsonville’s calendar before you plan around any of them.
🌳 Parks, Picnics, and Outdoor Celebrations
Memorial Park is the largest and oldest of the city’s parks, and it sits beside the library. Town Center Park, with its water feature, and Boones Ferry Park on the river are the other well-known spots. If you are planning a celebration in a park, check with the city about reservations and rules first. A bouquet delivered to a home the morning of the event can then travel to the picnic table in a bucket or box.
📞 Ordering Tips for Wilsonville
- Order early when you can. We deliver to Wilsonville and earlier ordering is always helpful, especially for weekends and holidays.
- Include a backup contact. A second phone number or a neighbor’s name can save a failed delivery.
- Think about the recipient’s day. A work delivery to someone who is out of the office is a wasted bouquet.
- Match the flowers to the setting. Compact and low-scent for an office or a hospital, fuller for a home.
